Warrant
Definition
A security giving the right to buy stock at a set price in the future.
A warrant grants the holder the right to buy a company shares at a fixed price before expiration, similar to a call option but issued by the company itself and often longer-dated. Exercising warrants creates new shares, diluting existing holders.
