Current assets minus current liabilities, a measure of short-term financial health.

Working capital measures a company ability to meet short-term obligations. Positive working capital means a company can cover its bills; negative working capital is a warning sign of potential cash flow problems. Some businesses run negative working capital intentionally by collecting from customers before paying suppliers.
