Whitepaper
Definition
A document describing a crypto project's technology, purpose, and economics before it launches.
A whitepaper lays out a crypto project's proposed technology, the problem it's trying to solve, its token structure, and its economics, typically published before the project actually launches or raises funds. The format traces back to Bitcoin's own founding whitepaper, and reading one carefully remains one of the most basic forms of due diligence in crypto.
