Value Stock
Definition
A stock trading below its intrinsic worth.
Value stocks appear cheap relative to fundamentals like earnings, book value, or cash flow, often from mature or out-of-favor companies. Value investors buy them expecting the market to eventually recognize their worth, seeking a margin of safety and dividends.
