Order Book

Definition

A real-time list of buy and sell orders for an asset, organized by price.

The order book displays all outstanding buy orders (bids) and sell orders (asks) at each price level, revealing supply and demand. Traders read it to gauge liquidity and potential support or resistance. Depth of book shows how many orders sit beyond the best bid and ask.
