Nasdaq Composite
Definition
An index of thousands of stocks listed on the Nasdaq, heavy in tech.
The Nasdaq Composite includes nearly all stocks on the Nasdaq exchange and is dominated by technology and growth companies. Its tech tilt makes it more volatile than the S&P 500 and a closely watched barometer of the technology sector mood.
