Market Cap (Crypto)
Definition
The total value of a cryptocurrency: price multiplied by circulating supply.
Crypto market cap equals current price multiplied by circulating supply. It is used to rank cryptocurrencies and compare their relative size. Unlike stocks, fully diluted valuation uses total max supply rather than circulating supply, which can reveal how much inflation could come from future token unlocks.
