Confirmation Bias
Definition
Seeking information that supports existing beliefs.
Confirmation bias is the tendency to favor evidence that confirms what we already believe while ignoring what contradicts it. In investing it leads people to cling to losing positions and dismiss warning signs. Actively seeking opposing views is a key defense.
