Bridge (Crypto)
Definition
A protocol that lets tokens or data move between two different blockchains.
A Bridge (Crypto) connects two otherwise separate blockchains, letting a token native to one chain be locked or wrapped so an equivalent version can be used on another. Bridges have become a favorite target for hackers, since a single exploited bridge contract can drain funds that were meant to be secured across two networks at once.
In a sentence
Bridge (Crypto) means software, not steel: he used one to move tokens from one blockchain to another, wrapping them so they'd work with the new network's apps.
